Christian

Kairos volunteers  represent the Christian faith and present a Christian perspective.

Ecumenical

Representing a number of different Christian Churches.

Lay-led

Kairos leadership is drawn from lay persons, although clergy play a vital role.  A Lay person is a Christian who is not a formally trained minister

Volunteer

Kairos is an overwhelmingly volunteer organization, with over 20,000 volunteers worldwide.  For each weekend, up to 50 volunteers directly participate and many more contribute support in the form of time, prayers, baking cookies, agape, funding etc

Ministry

Kairos ministers to incarcerated individuals, their families, and those who work with them.  It is a ministry not a church, facilitated by volunteers from a diverse range of Christian churches.
